And Why I Still Do What I Do…

Dear friend,

    I want to give credit where credit is due. So, perhaps a confession can help clear the air so there’s no misunderstanding.  Before I talk about my confession though, let me say a few other things first.

      Let me start by telling you a little about myself.  Ten years ago I was on a siding job for a construction company when I fell off a ladder.  I injured my arm, shoulder, and neck and was sent to physical therapy by the doctors at the Hospital.  I was not progressing as expected so the PT told me about a local Chiropractor.  The chiropractor took new x-rays, did an exam and then “adjusted” not only my spine but also my shoulder.  I was amazed.  The adjustment didn’t even hurt, it actually felt good.  I got relief and could use my neck and shoulder again.  It worked so well that I went to chiropractic school myself to help other people.

      Now, let me explain the photo at the top of the web page.  The two cute kids are my children, and my son Rhett, who is the little boy in the photo hurt himself four years ago.  He fell out of a tree that he was not supposed to be climbing.  The doctors at the hospital told my wife that he had a neck injury and there was nothing they could do for him but take muscle relaxers, at least there wasn’t a fracture!!!  I started treating his neck in my office and after just a few treatments he started to improve immediately, and just a few weeks after his injury his neck was as good as new.  Our pediatrician was amazed how quickly Rhett responded to my treatments.  Without chiropractic care my son would have had chronic neck problems the rest of his life.

     The little girl in the picture (My daughter Raegan) knows enough to ask me to adjust her when she feels like she may be getting sick, or sometimes just to stay “tuned up.”

     It’s strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their neck and shoulder problems.  Also they come to me with their headaches, migraines, chronic pain, carpal tunnel pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, work injuries, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in arms and legs, athletic injuries, just to name a few.

     Several times a day patients thank me for helping them with their health problems.  But I can’t really take the credit.  My confession is that I’ve never healed anyone of anything.  What I do is perform a specific spinal adjustment to remove nerve pressure, and the body responds by healing itself.  We get tremendous results.  It’s as simple as that!

My qualifications… I graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio then graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa.  I then received my Certification in EMG & NCV at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. I’ve been entrusted to take care of hundreds of people in the area that you may know, and have even traveled to Montana to help Native Americans when those people needed care. I have been practicing here in Newcomerstown for the past 9 years. I have just decided to have this low fee to help more people who need care here in Newcomerstown and the surrounding area.
